BETTY BALCER’S MIRACLE HOUSE
Pastor Tom presents Betty with the deed to her new home.
In April of this year I ministered in Barryton, MI at the Free Methodist church where my sister PJ and her husband Gary attend. They are some of the most thoughtful people I have ever had the privilege to minister to. Betty Balcer is a widow in the church. She lives in a home with no heat and mold so bad it is dangerous to her health. Barryton had 100 inches of show this past season and Betty had only a kerosene heater and wood stove to heat the whole place. Betty is 71 and had to chop her own wood.
One day while visiting Betty, PJ and Gary got the great idea of the church having a fund raiser and with the help of the congregation buy Betty a used doublewide mobile home and everyone chip in and get the place ready for Betty to live in. The men in the church did all the electrical work as well as the plumbing.
One of the great idea’s PJ had was to take some of Betty’s best recipes and put them in a foldout CD case and sell them for a donation of at least $5.00 plus $4.00 shipping. I have one and the Texas Sheet cake recipe is worth more than the cost of all eleven recipe’s.
If you would like to help Betty with her new home send a donation of at least $5.00 plus shipping to my office and I will send your recipe’s to you. Please don’t make your check out to my ministry. Write your check to the Free Methodist church and I will forward it on to them. Or you can go to my website by clicking on the link below and then click on donation and you can use your credit card and I will see that they get all of your gift. If you can’t see the picture of the recipe CD in this email you can add my email to your address book and then you can see all pictures in the future.
